Gynecology in Houston, TX: Pap smear, vaginal cultures and infection treatment at a Hispanic clinic near you. In Spanish, no insurance needed.

Walk-in gynecology care, in Spanish or English and with privacy: Pap smear, vaginal cultures and same-day treatment of infections. At Clínica Hispana Nueva Salud Lawndale we see you Monday to Sunday from 9 AM to 9 PM, no insurance needed.

How often should I get a Pap smear?

Under U.S. preventive guidelines, women aged 21 to 29 should have a Pap smear every 3 years. From 30 to 65, every 3 years, or every 5 years when combined with an HPV (human papillomavirus) test. If you had an abnormal result before, the interval may be shorter. A Pap smear detects changes in the cervix years before they can become cancer.

What does the gynecology visit include?

  • Pap smear (cervical cytology) and, when appropriate, HPV test
  • Pelvic and breast exam
  • Vaginal culture to identify yeast, bacteria or trichomonas
  • Same-day treatment of vaginal and urinary infections
  • Pregnancy test and contraception counseling
  • Referral to a gynecology specialist when the case requires it

When do results come back?

The vaginal culture and the Pap smear are processed at the lab and take a few days. We call you when they are ready and, if something needs treatment, we send the prescription without a second visit.

Which symptoms call for a vaginal culture?

Itching, burning, discharge that differs in color or amount from your usual, odor, or pain during sex. Each infection has a different treatment: yeast is not cured by the antibiotic used for bacterial vaginosis. The culture avoids guessing and repeating treatments that don't work.

How do I prepare for the visit?

  • Avoid douching, vaginal suppositories and sex for 48 hours before a Pap smear.
  • If possible, come when you are not on your period.
  • Bring your ID, the date of your last period and your list of medications.
  • If you use birth control, bring the box or the name.

How much does a gynecology visit cost?

Current promotions: Women's Intimate Health for $69 (intimate culture, medical visit and urine test) and Complete Women's Checkup for $179. Outside those packages, the visit, Pap smear and culture are priced individually. Ask for the price when you arrive or call us at (832) 530-4188: direct payment by cash or card, no insurance needed.

It is better to wait until it ends, because blood can affect the sample. If you have infection symptoms, come anyway and we see you the same day.
